Instructional games

Students are given the opportunity to widen their knowledge about vocabulary activities because it is one of the help to their minds to actively store the vocabularies they learn and somehow it will be used for purposes.

In behaviorism, these instructional games help the students’ competences to play a game and can be their enjoyment and a help for them to play because they are challenge and ready to gain a higher level of score as to compete to others to think that they can get some reinforcements or a rewards from their teachers.

One of the faculties of these instructional games is their capability to use their minds to work actively and to think promptly.

If we determine the general presentation of behaviorism in accordance to instructional games that stimulus- presentation of instructional games, response- the willingness to play the games presented, and reinforcement- the rewards after.

In cognitivism, the capability of students’ logical thinking is being used. They are going to use their critical thinking as to answer or to complete the given questions and clues. Analysis is actively working of how to get the right vocabulary suited for the questions given. But, depending of their learning susceptibility.

The cultivation of the learning process will improve. The motivation will be on set and is present intrinsically because they are learning different vocabularies.
Practice and Drills

Students’ vocabularies are practiced consecutively through this software; thus, it enhances their capabilities of thinking as to work their minds to get the best answers.

In behaviorism, students will be eager to do or to play the practice and drill instructional software because their behaviors developed especially if the students learning style is through kinesthetic that he/she can understands and can think straightway and if hands-on activity is being implemented. Students are eager to get higher score because of reward, thus, according to Chomsky's theory that learning as controlled of a system of rewards and punishments. Students are able to compete to others for reward but that competition will bring knowledge to them as a learning particularly the learning of vocabularies.

Same as to instructional games software’s cognitivism, thus, logical or critical thinking is used to understand and the capability to promptly get the answers. It is through with consecutive practice learning so that students’ motivation will intrinsically be motivated, activated and improved. Furthermore, it can be used anytime for purposes.

These two (2) instructional software’s will work to students’ motivation in learning process, thus, its help them to improve their learning capabilities particularly in vocabularies. They may able to use it according to its purposes. Through vocabulary games and drills students’ knowledge are added and when it used, there would be an enrichment to their communication skills as to practice it consecutively. A person who knows a lot of vocabularies and knows how to use it, he/she will have the competency to be with others and have conversation confidently.
